Sleek distorted dreams highlighting palette – REVIEW & SWATCHES

Hi loves !

It’s been a while but we are finally back !
Today I will be reviewing the new Sleek – Distorted Dreams – higlighting palette.
Holographic highlighting is massively trending at the moment, together with unicorn and mermaid inspired make-up. And Sleek is not behind.

Disclaimer: We only try to support make-up and skincare brands that are cruelty free. We do not buy any products that are tested on animals. Sleek claims it doesn’t conduct any tests on animals.

The palette comes in a gorgeous mirrored compact with an amazing (and decent size) mirror. It contains three cream shades (peach, blue and green) and two powder ones (gold and pink). The powdered higlighters can be used alone or layered on top of the cream highlight to create an intense, multi-coloured glow.

When I first tried these gorgeous but unusual coloured highlighters I didn’t think I would get a lot of wear out of these shades because they are so unusual and absolutely not subtle. But once I tried them on my face I fell in love! They are absolutely amazing and super pretty. It’s not your everyday highlight, except for the golden powdered shade and lighter cream shade. I love layering these, more natural highlighting shades, with a coloured shade to create an everyday custom highlight with a hint of pink, blue or green. The longevity of these shades is great and the texture is really soft. The colours are buildable and apply even. The pink highlight does contain a more chuncky glitter than the others, but it doesn’t bother me. This palette can be used to illuminate your eyes, cheeks, collarbones and shoulders for a supernatural glow and it’s perfect for a night out.

Will this palette be as popular as the previous Sleek highlighting palettes? No, I don’t think so. The palette is great, it’s different and it’s budget proof (only € 13,99 on the Sleek website), but it’s not as wearable as their Solstice palette. I would definitely recommend this palette if you like something different, colourful and absolutely magical. Replace your everyday silver, gold or peach highlight with these colourful ones for a more edgy but girly and on-trend look.

Until next time,
